TAT Information
History
The Tehachapi Association of Teachers (TAT) acts as the representative and bargaining unit for the certificated teaching staff within the Tehachapi Unified School District. The union was created in 1971. The TAT is affiliated with the California Teachers Association (CTA), the largest teachers' union in California, which was established in 1863.
IIA: The primary purposes of this Association shall be to represent its members in their relations with their employer, and to seek to be the EXCLUSIVE representative of appropriate units of school employees in all matters relating to employment conditions and employer-employee relations including, but not limited to, wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
